Why Your Chapter Membership is Important.

Chapter Membership first and foremost provides an opportunity to associate with other likeminded individuals who understand the importance of service to our country.  You belong and your voice is multiplied by the involvement and activity level of the Chapter (there are nearly 400 Chapters worldwide). Your membership in MOAA is an additional multiplier as it adds your voice to the over 350,000 officers and auxiliary members that belong worldwide.  That voice is important, whether you are currently serving, a former officer, are retired from one of the uniformed services, or are a serviving spouse member.  And now it is especially important as we strive to protect the pay and benefits of our currently serving force, and the survivor benefits of our spouses.  If you are not a MOAA National member, please talk to a Board Member about the benefits of membership today!

Membership Information:

The Middle Tennessee Chapter of MOAA is open to active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retired, and former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the following uniformed services: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Membership is also available for surviving spouses of any deceased officer, who would have been eligible for membership.

Membership for the year of joining is provided on a free trial basis
 for new members.

A membership application is available below. Please note if you are not yet a MOAA National member, our Chapter membership application offers you the opportunity to join or rejoin (if you are a lapsed member) in an introductory Basic role at no cost.

The Chapter publishes a monthly newsletter to keep the membership informed of current meeting agendas and articles of local and national interest.  This monthly newsletter is available on this website and is mailed to those members who request delivery by that means.

MTC & MOAA Common Join Membership Application
2023 Chapter Annual Dues:

The 2023 dues will continue to be $25.00 for Regular Members; and Surviving Spouse dues will remain at $5.00.

If you owe dues for 2023, you will receive a dues notice by mail in February 2022.

If you are a new member who joined after December 2022 you will not be charged for the dues for the year of joining (2023).  This way you have an opportunity to investigate membership without having to pay dues while you make that decision.

Dues checks can be made out and mailed to:

Middle TN Chapter, MOAA
P. O. Box 50252
Nashville, TN 37205-0252

Our Chapter participates in the MOAA National Electronic Dues Payment System.  Chapter members that pay their MOAA National dues on an annual basis will have the option of paying their regular chapter dues online (after 1 January 2023) using a credit card or debit card. All funds collected are deposited electronically in the chapter’s bank account around the fifth day of each month. New members also can use the tool to join a chapter, and their application information will be sent directly to the chapter treasurer. The process is easy, and best of all, national MOAA pays all set-up, transaction, and administrative fees.
